Agreement on Cooperation Signed with Moscow State Institution

Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and the Rector of Moscow State Institute of Culture Prof. Arsenij Stanoslavovich Mironov, PhD, signed on 13 May 2019 the Agreement on Cooperation.

The main objective of the Agreement signed at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka is organizing academic cooperation in scientific, teaching, innovative, cultural, information and other spheres of activity through, among others, information and communication and distance technologies. 

As stated, both sides will encourage the strengthening of relations between universities in the fields of science, education and culture.
“The Contracting Parties shall encourage mutual visits and exchanges of teaching staff and experts for the purpose of lecturing, holding workshops, organizing scientific-research projects, joint consultations and additional training courses for students and doctoral candidates. The Contracting Parties shall exchange scientific information, professional literature, as well as experience in the teaching process and the results of scientific research'', the Agreement reads and emphasizes that the goal is also to encourage student exchange.

“The Contracting Parties shall encourage cultural exchange, as well as teaching activities in the field of promoting and popularizing Russian language and culture in the sphere of education of the Republic of Srpska as well as Serbian language and culture in the territory of the Russian Federation'', it says, among other things, in the Agreement. 

Prior to the signing of the Agreement, rectors of the two universities held a meeting at which they discussed the cooperation. The meeting and the signing of the Agreement were attended by the Vice-Rector for Material and Human Resources Prof Luka Kecman, PhD, Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation Prof. Biljana Antunovic, PhD, and Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and University Development Prof. Goran Latinovic, PhD. The meeting was also attended by Aleksej Vitalijevich Petrov, Advisor to the Rector Mironov on International Cooperation.

During the course of the day, Rector Mironov held a lecture at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka on the 'Current Cultural Code of the Slovenian Civilization in the Russian and Serbian Epoch'. Thereafter, he had separate meetings with the deans of the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Petar Penda, PhD, and Prof. Zdravko Zlokapa, PhD.
