Quality Assurance at the University of Banja Luka

Institutional arrangements of the quality system: The highest body in the quality system of the University of Banja Luka is the Committee for Quality Assurance (КОК). It is the body created by the Decree of the Senate, and is in charge of, among other things, the preparation of strategy and policy of quality, which are then forwarded to the Rector and the Senate for approval. The Office for Quality Assurance (КОК) has been established at the University level as well with one employee, coordinator for quality assurance, with the task to provide the technical support for the КОК, to coordinate the activities on quality assurance with organizational units, to collect, process and analyze data on insurance quality, etc. The appointment of quality coordinators at the organizational units (faculties and Academy) was done as well.

Activities on monitoring and improving quality: Monitoring and quality improvement is necessary for achieving the minimum quality criteria, but is not carried out only because of that. Even after reaching the threshold of quality, Faculties/Academy and the University are obliged to work on quality improvement, to achieve better and better results, a prestigious reputation and satisfactory position in the ranking lists – middle position in the class of universities of similar size.  

The regular activities on quality assurance that are carried out at our University during the year:
•    Student survey on the quality of teaching process  
•    The self-evaluation report of the University 
•    Collection and processing of the quality indicators 
•    Organization of seminars, panel discussions and workshops on topics from quality assurance
