Reception for the Professor from the Kyushu University from Japan

On 15 June 2023, Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, met with the professor from the Kyushu University from Japan Jin Miyawaki, PhD.

During this meeting, they talked about establishing a bilateral cooperation between the two universities, which would include, inter alia, the exchange of academic staff and students of the two universities.

As Rector Gajanin pointed out during this meeting, the University of Banja Luka already cooperates with Japanese higher education institutions, with the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the Faculty of Medicine being one of the University members cooperating the most with Japan.

The reception at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka was also attended by Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD.

Kyushu University, located in Fukuoka, is the fourth oldest university in Japan, which today has over 18,000 students.

Later in the day, the guest from Japan participated in the International Seminar/Workshop on Deep Technology in Nanomaterials and Material Chain Pollution (NanoPol2023). The opening of this seminar at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka was also attended by Vice-Rector Balaban and Vice-Rector for Material and Human Resources Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, who greeted the participants on behalf of Rector Gajanin. Moreover, the seminar was attended by Assistant Minister for Scientific and Technological Development Prof. Zoran Vujković, PhD.
