Students will learn about the importance of medicinal plants, understand their utilization in phytopharmacy and define their distribution. Also, they will learn how to use these plants in preventing illnesses. | ||||
Content | ||||
Theoretical teaching: Proper steps in harvest and desiccation of medicinal plants. Medicinal ingredients. Medicinal plants in phytopharmacy. Botanical characteristics of the most significant medicinal and toxic species (morphological, ecological, histological, or anatomical). Usage in treatment (traditional and modern utilization, with the accent on immunobiotic, immunostimulant, and anticancer effects of plants). Cultivation of medicinal plants. Practical teaching: Learning about morphology and anatomy of medicinal plants on natural samples. | ||||
