Accommodation in student dormitories
The accommodation capacities of the pavilions in the ‘Nikola Tesla’ Student Centre are as follows:
- Pavilion 1 (320 beds);
- Pavilion 2 (320 beds);
- Pavilion 3 (290 beds);
- Pavilion 4 (320 beds).
Pavilions 1 and 2 are placed in the so-called old campus, in Majke Jugovića 1, while the pavilions 3 and 4 are located in the University Campus, Bulevar vojvode Petra Bojovića 1A. As part of the student dormitory, at both locations, there are also student cafeterias, where students have three meals a day.
Food prices in the student cafeteria are:
- breakfast (0.60 KM);
- lunch (1.40 KM);
- dinner (1.00 KM);
- lunch package (1.40 KM, taken on Saturday evenings).
In addition to accommodation and food, students in the Student Centre have at their disposal: the reading room, the Internet room, the TV room and the laundry room.
Students can also use the City Olympic swimming pool during the semester on Mondays and Fridays from 13.00 to 15.00 o’clock.
Other activities are mainly taking place on the sports courts of the Student Centre and in the Student Club, where students engage in literary, musical, drama and other free activities.
Students of the University of Banja Luka also participate in the Student Sports Games, which are held every year in May. They can compete in indoor football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and chess.
The competition for student accommodation in the Public Institution ‘Nikola Tesla’ Student Centre is announced in September.
Criteria that are crucial when scoring students are success in previous education and social criteria (students without both parents, students who are children of fallen and missing RSA soldiers, students without one parent, students with disabilities, students - children of the RSA and civilian war victims from I to VI category, student or parent who is a social welfare beneficiary, students whose both parents are unemployed, student whose one parent is unemployed and students from multi-member households).
