Learning objectives | ||||
Getting to know the theoretical foundations of the maintenance process of technical systems from the aspect of safety at work, strategic decisions, methods and organization of maintenance, methods of applying technical diagnostics, planning and management, application of information technologies with the use of databases, as well as optimization of maintenance costs.
Learning outcomes | ||||
The student gets a clear idea of the place and role of maintenance of technical systems and the necessary safety activities at work. The student is trained to plan and manage the maintenance process of complex technical systems based on the given methods and the application of information technologies, with the use of databases and available occupational safety methods. Also, it can adequately respond to the necessary requirements related to the quality of safety at work based on the implemented procedures of the maintenance system.
Content | ||||
Introduction. Basic terms and definitions. Concept, importance and goals of maintenance. Technical maintenance systems. Life cycle engineering. Maintenance strategies and organization. Maintenance planning and management. Maintenance as a function of the business system. Support technology. Maintenance information systems. Quality control in maintenance. Organization of maintenance in the occupational health and safety system. Security of technical systems. Protection at work in maintenance. The future of exploitation and maintenance development.
Teaching Methods | ||||

Evaluation and grading
For the selected initial parameters, the student should compile a technological procedure for occupational safety during the implementation of maintenance, as well as a list of necessary activities. The knowledge test is realized with two colloquiums in the theoretical areas of teaching, examination and assessment of the seminar assignment and report on the visit to the industrial plant. The final exam refers only to theoretical questions. |
