Learning objectives | ||||
The objective of studying the subject is to enable students to acquire knowledge that will enable them to understand, explore and analyze the processes of urbanization today, primarily the cause, the flow and consequences of these processes in the wider urban environment and in particular the transition from urban to rural. The main goal is to acquire knowledge about current approaches, methods and practices from the world and the region in the context of suburban urbanization issues. Students should be familiar with formal and informal planning models and understand the processes and methodology of strategic urban design as a combination of strategically oriented planning and value oriented design. They should acquire the knowledge gained through the urban design project of a specific multifunctional unit. | ||||
Learning outcomes | ||||
Training for researching the possibilities of improving the urban structure and identification goals and effects of development. Mastering the methods and techniques of the urban planning process, application of the mastered methodology of the design process up to the level of conceptual architectural and constructive solutions. Students provide conceptual urban-architectural solutions of multi-functional residential units for specific urban or non-urban areas. | ||||
Content | ||||
Preparation of the urban project of the selected unit, which should solve the relationship of new spatial form of architecture and new traffic system. The main task is to adapt successfully urban context, spatial forms of architecture and communication routes. Introducing students to the practical application of theoretical knowledge in the field of urban planning and design, through the simulation of the planning and design process in which the primary one is urban aspect of the task. Acquiring knowledge and skills in identifying and mastering basic problem aspects of urban planning and designing (multifunctional) location. | ||||
