Reception on the occasion of organizing Information Day on the Erasmus+ programme at the University of Banja Luka
University of Banja LukaGeneralIn the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, a reception was held on 12 November 2014 for the guests from Brussels and Sarajevo on the occasion of organizing The Information Day promoting the Erasmus+ programme, the University of Banja Luka being one of the co-organizers of the event.
Mr. Franco Burgio, Project Manager of the EACEA, Mr. Suad Muhibić, Director of the Erasmus+ Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ms Mahira Zonić, assistant at the Erasmus+ Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, were welcomed by Prof. Dr Valerija Šaula, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the University of Banja Luka. Topics such as the programs financed by the EU that the University had participated in, as well as other projects within the scope of international cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
Earlier same day, the guests were welcomed by Doc. Dr Goran Mutabdžija, Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska, with his associates. On that occasion a support was given to the higher education institutions of the Republic of Srpska to participate in the activities and programs offered by the Erasmus+, with the commitment expressed on the part of the Ministry to continue fulfilling its duties stipulated by the Law on Higher Education related to the international cooperation and exchange programs. The guests were introduced to the activities and plans of the Ministry regarding the strategy for higher education until the year of 2020, which is being designed in cooperation with the academic community so that it is in accordance with our specific circumstances and needs of the labor market of the Republic of Srpska, but also consistent with the “EUROPE 2020” strategy of the European Union.
