Presentation of VI-SEEM project
University of Banja LukaGeneralOn March 21, 2017, on the premises of the Rectorate, a presentation of the VI-SEEM project was organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Banja Luka.
The goal of the project is creating the unique virtual research environment (Virtual Research purpose of enabling interdisciplinary regional cooperation in the field of bio-science, climatology, and digital cultural heritage.
Within the aforementioned project, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of our university is in charge of the digital cultural heritage in Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is, all the processes concerned with its digitalization, searching through databases, presentation of these data and other activities.
The project was presented by its coordinators, Prof. Milorad Bozic, Prof. Vladimir Risojevic, and Mihajlo Savic, MA, who informed the audience, coming from the world of science, education and culture and in charge of digitalization processes in their respective institutions and companies, about some basic standards regarding metadata, as well as about new ways of accessing photo and video collections.
In the end, possibilities of cooperation within the project were presented as well, which is the seventh programme under the umbrella of the FP (now Horizon 2020) research programmes of the EU to be realized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in the past 11 years.
