Faculty of Electrical Engineering Celebrated 57 Years of Work

On 29 November 2019, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Banja Luka organized a solemn academy to mark 57 years of successful work and development.

Vice Rector for Scientific Research and University Development Professor Goran Latinovic, PhD, addressed the guests at the solemn academy.

In his speech, Vice Rector Latinovic wished this Faculty to continue its successful work in the forthcoming period.

He pointed out that the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka was successfully cooperating with other organizational units of the University, with other institutions and different companies across the Republic of Srpska.

 The dean of this Faculty, Professor Branko Blanusa, PhD, said that the Faculty of Electrical Engineering was the oldest faculty at the University and that it was celebrating 57 years of successful work.

,,We are proud of the results, we were the first at the University to start education according to the principles of the Bologna Process and the first to introduce the third cycle of studies (PhD). We are recognized in the RS and beyond for the quality of teaching, our engineers and the research results", Dean Blanusa said.

He emphasized that it is well known that those who graduate from this Faculty find jobs immediately.

The best students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering were awarded at the solemn academy, and the respective individuals and companies were given certificates of appreciation.

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Cubrilovic, Mayor of the City of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic, President of the Steering Board of the University of Banja Luka Professor Rajko Gnjato, PhD, and other guests attended this event.

The day before, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering held a promotion of graduates of the first and second cycle of study (Bachelor and Master).
