The Webometrics is a recognized ranking system for the world’s universities, developed and updated twice a year by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council. Since January this year, the Webometrics ranking has been conducted according to a new methodology. Thus, the analysis is now made in three categories instead of four, as was the case in the past, as follows: university web presence, visibility and the global academic performance.

The goal of the rector's team of the University of Banja Luka is to keep the University of Banja Luka among the three thousand best universities in the world, and to continuously advance in the rankings that monitor the quality of higher education institutions. The progress of the University of Banja Luka on this world-recognized list is based on the dedicated work of all members of the University, primarily professors, teaching assistants and students who publish their scientific papers in world-renowned scientific journals.
