Confucius Institute Set Up a Choir

The ‘Kerubini’ Chamber Choir of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka was set up on 24 March 2022.

The setup of this choir is the result of cooperation between the Confucius Institute and the ‘Kerubini’ Chamber Choir.

In the forthcoming period, the choir, led by the conductor and senior assistant at the Conducting Study Programme of the Academy of Arts Dušan V. Urošević, MA, plans to participate in different manifestations, such as the marking of the Day of the City and World Music Day, as well as in events organized by the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka.

Confucius Institute Home Director Asst. Prof. Ljiljana Stević, PhD, pointed out that the new choir at the University of Banja Luka is a continuation of the good cooperation the Confucius Institute has had with the Academy of Arts for several years now.

Conductor Dušan V. Urošević expressed special satisfaction with the setting up of the new choir and said that the excellent cooperation so far will be raised to an even higher level.  

In addition to the new choir, in the upcoming period the plan is to also set up an amateur singing assembly at the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka.
