The Dean from Lithuania visited the University

After the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Banja Luka and Vytaus Magnus University of Kaunas, the dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Prof. Saulius Mickevičius, PhD, visited our higher education institution on 1 November 2022.

During the first part of the visit, Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD, and Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development Prof. Miroslav Malinović, PhD, met with their guest from Lithuania. At the meeting in the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, they agreed upon the steps to be taken for further cooperation, which primarily refer to joint participation in project calls for European and Lithuanian funds. They also agreed to work on the exchange of staff and students, as well as on joint publishing.

Professor Mickevičius used the opportunity to together with Vice-Rector Malinović also meet with the teaching staff.

At the working meeting, which was attended by the vice-deans for scientific research and development of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Technology, Prof. Stevo Borojević, PhD, and Assc. Prof. Pero Sailović, PhD, Head of the Physics Study Programme Prof. Snježana Dupljanin, PhD, as well as Prof. Biljana Antunović, PhD, Prof. Saša Zeljković, PhD, and Assc. Prof. Goran Kolarević, PhD, there were talks about the current calls for project applications for the upcoming Erasmus+ and IPA projects.

Marko Paunović and Vladimir Pandurov from the Out of the Box International from Brussels spoke about these projects. What is certainly important to emphasize is that the cooperation between the Vytaus Magnus University and the Out of the Box International, which are involved in the project activities of the Lithuanian university, was established through the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Brussels.
