The Future of Open Science in Bosnia and Herzegovina Event Held
University of Banja LukaGeneralThe event "The Future of Open Science in Bosnia and Herzegovina" organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka was held on 28 November 2022.
On behalf of the University, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development Prof. Miroslav Malinović, PhD, addressed the participants at the event held at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Banja Luka, who emphasized the importance of open science for the academic community and added that it was a pleasure that the representatives of the relevant ministries were also present at the event.
On the other hand, Asst. Mihajlo Savić, PhD, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka presented the results of the National Initiative for Open Science in Europe (NI4OS) project as well as practical examples and ways of using open science with the aim of facilitating scientific work. Project activities, and responsible research and innovation, which includes the principles of open science through the implementation of the project Responsible Research and Innovation in the Western Balkans (WBC-RRI.NET), were presented by Anđela Pepić, MSc, Head of the Research Development and Support Centre at the University of Banja Luka.
Research infrastructure in the function of open science was presented by Amela Kurta on behalf of CREDI, while open science at public universities was presented by: Vice-Rector for Science, Research and Development of the University of East Sarajevo Prof. Jelena Krunić, PhD, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research of the University of Zenica Prof. Sabahudin Ekinović, PhD, Head of the University Information Centre of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar Salko Kovačić, expert associate at the Centre for Research and Development of the University of Sarajevo Lejla Dizdarević, MA, and Džalila Muharemagić, MA, from the University of Bihać.
