Constant Progress of the University of Banja Luka on the Webometrics World Ranking

According to the final Webometrics report for the period from July 2022 to January 2023, the University of Banja Luka is ranked second in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has progressed by 57 places and is currently ranked 2710th among the overall ranked 31,000 universities worldwide.
Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, says that the goal of the Rector’s Team at the University of Banja Luka is to have the University of Banja Luka constantly progress on the higher education quality related rankings. As Rector said, in the last five years our University has progressed by 2209 places on this ranking-list.
,,The progress of the University of Banja Luka on this world recognized ranking list is based on the dedicated work of all University members, first and foremost the professors, teaching assistants and students who publish their scientific papers in the world renowned scientific journals'', the rector said and congratulated all the professors and teaching assistants of the leading university in the Republic of Srpska, who have contributed to the better ranking of our higher education institution on the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities with their work and commitment.
The Webometrics is a recognized ranking system for the world’s universities, which has been developed and updated twice a year by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council, since 2004. In the ranking of universities, the Webometrics takes into account three categories, as follows: university visibility, presence and the global academic performance in scientific research. Traditionally, Harvard University and Standford University from the USA, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), are on the first places of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities. As for the universities in Serbia, the University of Belgrade, University of Novi Sad and University of Niš have been on the best places for years now.
