Visit to the Ural Federal University
University of Banja LukaGeneralDean of the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Ranka Perić Romić, PhD, and Prof. Siniša Atlagić, PhD, paid a working visit to the Ural Federal University from 11 to 14 November 2023, in Yekaterinburg.
"There is great interest in joint research papers in which we would use a unique research methodology to enable comparison of research results. Given that the School of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship in Yekaterinburg at the Institute of Economics and Management of the Ural Federal University mostly corresponds to our Faculty of Political Science, the proposal is to conduct research in the areas of social demography, youth policy, public management, social policy and others topic", Prof. Ranka Perić Romić, PhD, said and pointed out that there is also a possibility for cooperation with other faculties of our university.
She emphasized that the Ural Federal University has several journals that are not on the Scopus and WoS lists, and that the publication of papers with their researchers would help the affirmation of our University.
On the other hand, the delegation of the University of Banja Luka and Director of the School of Public Administration Aleksey Klyuev discussed the exchange of students of the second and third cycle of studies, the organization of joint scientific conferences, quarterly thematic online seminars where colleagues from the respective fields would exchange certain experiences, thoughts and ideas as assumptions for new project activities, etc.
According to Perić Romić, ten meetings were held during this visit, and she and Prof. Atlagić had the opportunity to give a lesson to the students of the Ural Federal University. Prof. Perić Romić spoke on the topic "The Republic of Srpska within the framework of the Dayton Peace Agreement", while Prof. Atlagić presented on the topic "Relation between Russia and Serbia within public diplomacy".
On the last day of their visit, the first Russian-Serbian multidisciplinary scientific seminar on "Perspectives of Russian-Serbian cooperation in the field of science and education" was held.
On 15 September 2023, Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Rector of the Ural Federal University, named after the Russian President B. N. Yeltsin, Victor Koksharov signed an agreement on cooperation between the two higher education institutions.
