Academic calendar for 2024/2025 year adopted
HighlightsUniversity of Banja LukaThe Senate of the University of Banja Luka, on its 107th session held on 4 July 2024 brought the Decision on adopting academic calendar for 2024/2025 year.
According to the calendar, enrolment of winter semester for students of senior years on the first, second and third cycle of studies, is from 1 to 10 October, while students of first year at the second and third cycle of studies, enrolment is planned from 21 to 25 October of the current year.
The classes for students of the first cycle of studies and senior year students at the second and third cycle start on 1 October, while for students of first year at the second and third cycle of studies classes start on 28 October 2024.
The classes in winter semester with occasional knowledge tests for all students end on 17 January 2025. The Academic calendar envisaged January-February examination term for all students from 20 January to 14 February next year.
Speaking of summer semester, enrolment is from 17 to 28 February, while the classes for all years of studies are planned from 17 February to 6 June 2025.
The April examination term for all students is from 21 April to 12 May 2025, while the June-July term is planned from 9 June to 4 July 2025. September examination term is planned from 18 August to 12 September 2025, while September-October term is from 15 to 30 September 2025.
The summer break according to this calendar is in the term 7 July to 15 August.
Enrolment of a new generation of students
The academic calendar foresees that the Call for enrollment of students in academic 2025/2026 should be published on 11 June 2025. Enrollment documents should be handed in by 23 June 2025, while entry exams are scheduled for 30 June. Enrolment of students who successfully pass the entry exam is from 7 to 11 July 2025.
The Call for the second enrolment term will be published on 13 August, and submission of documents for entry exams is from 25 to 29 August. The plan is to hold the entry exams for the second enrolment term on 1 September, while admission of successful candidates is from 8 to 12 September 2025.
