Asst. Prof. Mijatović Visited Beijing and Tianjin

In October 2024, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Banja Luka Ognjen Mijatović, PhD, visited the University of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Beijing and participated in the Belt and Road scientific conference in Tianjin.

As part of his stay from 16 to 18 October 2024, Asst. Prof. Mijatović visited the university campus, the laboratory of dynamic structure analysis and the laboratory of fluid mechanics and water management. He took part in several meetings on various issues with the aim of establishing better scientific cooperation between the universities in Beijing and Banja Luka. At the end of the visit, an agreement was signed on the exchange of students and staff between the two universities.

The Belt and Road Conference is an interstate cooperation project of ninety-one universities from thirty-one countries, among which is the University of Banja Luka. The conference was held in Tianjin in from 18 to 20 October 2024, and on behalf of the University of Banja Luka, Asst. Prof. Mijatović, as an invited lecturer, presented the scientific research entitled The Impact of Structural Damping and Roughness of Steel Surfaces on the Response of the Structure, at the Parallel Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Manufacturing.
