UNIBL Faculty of Electrical Engineering marks 62nd anniversary
HighlightsThe Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka (ETF UNIBL) marked 62 years of successful work and development with a celebration held on 29 November 2024 in the faculty's premises.
The Vice-Rector for International and Inter-university Cooperation at the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Kristina Pantelić Babić, PhD, emphasised that this faculty is recognised for its high-quality teaching process, scientific research achievements, and participation in professional and scientific projects.
‘In the last few years, the faculty has also begun a process of fundamental reorganisation and expanded its cooperation with the leading companies in the region, strengthening existing partnerships and significantly opening opportunities for the future’, she stated.
The anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka was also attended by Prof. Aleksandar Ostojić, PhD, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development, and Zoran Bjelajac, Assistant Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska.
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka developed from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering in Banja Luka. The founding date of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering is considered to be 24 November 1962, the day when the People's Committee of the Count of Banja Luka adopted the decision to establish the Faculty of Engineering with the Department of Electrical Engineering.
