Ana Sibinčić is the President of the Students’ Parliament
GeneralA student of the Faculty of Economy at the University of Banja Luka, Ana Sibinčić, was elected President of the Students’ Parliament at the University of Banja Luka (SP UNIBL).
At the Constitutive session of the 17th convocation of the Students’ Parliament, held on 23 December 2024 in the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, the elected vice-presidents were a student at the Faculty of Medicine, Milan Stupar, and a student at the Faculty of Security Studies, Luka Krstić.
The position of the Secretary was entrusted to a student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Banja Luka, Željko Milićević. Members of the UNIBL Senate from among the students were also elected, as well as the student representative to the UNIBL Steering Board.
Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, congratulated the newly elected President of the Students’ Parliament, and wished her and the new convocation a successful work.
„The cooperation between the UNIBL leadership and the Students’ Parliament was excellent in the past period, and I am certain it shall remain that way. We have supported almost all the activities proposed by our students, and that support will remain in the future period“, said Rector Gajanin.
The Minister of Scientific-Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, Docent Željko Budimir, PhD, said the Ministry continues to work on improvement of students’ standards in the Republic of Srpska, and he reiterated the continuing support to students’ activities.
„Speaking of our students, I see responsible young men, eager to complete the studies, to contribute to their academic community while studying, and I find it particularly pleasing that most of them decide to stay in the Republic of Srpska“, pointed minister Budimir.
The President of the Students’ Parliament, Ana Sibinčić, said it is an honor and a great responsibility to be the head of the roof students’ organization. She added that the Parliament is ready to continue the successful activity of improving the students’ standards at the University of Banja Luka.
The Assistant Minister of Higher Education, Jelena Starčević, Vice-Rector for scientific-research activity and development of the UNIBL, Prof. Aleksandar Ostojić, PhD, and the President of the Trade Union at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, Predrag Govedarica, were also present at the Constitutive Session.
