Professor Govedar visited Voronezh State University of Forestry

An Academician and Full Professor at the Faculty of Forestry of the University of Banja Luka, Zoran Govedar, PhD, stayed at the Voronezh State University of Forestry from 2 to 10 December 2024, and held lectures and seminaries on demand for foreign students.

The topics of prof. Govedar’s lectures were: climate changes and forest ecosystems, biodiversity, risks of forest management, adaptive forest management, and other.

During the visit, Govedar met with the Rector, Prof. Michael Valentinovich Drapagluk, PhD, Vice-Rector for Teaching, Prof. Alexander Sergejevich Chernin, PhD, Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Svetlana Sergeyevna Morkovina, PhD, and the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Ana Viktorovna Tsaralunga, PhD.

It was agreed to continue the cooperation in the forms that were defined in the Agreement. It was also suggested to consider the possibilities for an exchange of professors and associates, organization of summer schools, development of studies with common Currucula, and a joint work on scientific-research projects.

The visit of Prof. Govedar was realized based on the Cooperation Agreement between the University of Banja Luka and Voronezh State University of Forestry, signed on 21 February 2024, which defined different forms of cooperation in the fields of education and science.
