The Faculty of Forestry commemorated its 32nd anniversary
HighlightsA formal event on the occasion of 32 years of successful work and development of the Faculty of Forestry – University of Banja Luka, was held on 16 December 2024.
This significant event was held in the Students’ Cultural Centre of the University of Banja Luka. A promotion of 20 graduates of the 1st cycle and 5 graduates of the 2nd cycle of studies was performed during the event, as well as handing over Letters of Gratitude to institutions and individuals who contributed with their work and effort to the development of the Faculty of Forestry.
Rector of the University of Banja Luka, prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, congratulated them on the 32 years of work of this higher education institution.
„We are proud that we moved this faculty, which educates one of the most demanded profiles in the labor market, into the new building, thus providing the optimal working conditions“ said Gajanin and praised the activities realized by the Faculty.
The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Vojislav Dukić, said that the Faculty achieved significant results over the past year.
He stressed that the intensive international cooperation continued in the past year, with a large participation of students.
The best student of the generation at the 1st cycle of studies, Stojanka Berić from Banja Luka, said that studying at the Faculty of Forestry was an interesting and exciting experience.
„My interests are mainly directed towards the economic segment of forestry. This field is very interesting for studying, and my plan now is to find a job and then continue with my education“, said Berić.
The formal event was attended also by the President of the Steering Board of the University of Banja Luka, prof. Biljana Antunović, PhD, and Vice-Rectors, prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD and prof. Kristina Pantelić Babić, PhD.
