The Faculty of Philosophy cooperates with URFU
GeneralThe Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Srđan Dušanić, PhD, and Director of the History department at the Institute of Humanities of the Ural Federal University (URFU), Alexander Sergeevich Palkin, PhD, signed the Plan of scientific cooperation between the two institutions for the period 2025-2027, on 30 January 2025.
The Plan was previously endorsed by the rectors of two universities – Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Prof. Victor Anatolyevich Koksharov, PhD.
During the meeting in the Rectorate, the parties talked about strengthening mutual cooperation, and it was agreed that one of the first activities shall be the participation of UNIBL students in the Summer School that the URFU is organizing in July. They considered the possibility of expanding the cooperation to other faculties, including Medical faculty, Faculty of Mining Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
The Ural Federal University, one of the leading in Russia, was created through a merger of the Ural State University and the Ural Institute of Polytechnics. It currently has over 47.000 students and is ranked among the top four Russian universities according to the Shanghai ranking list. It also holds a leading position in Russia in the field of information technologies and artificial intelligence.
