Over 800 Books Donated to the "Rada Vranješević" Home
GeneralMore than 800 books, collected during February this year in a charity initiative organised by staff and students of the University of Banja Luka, were donated on 12 March 2025 to the beneficiaries, residents, and employees of the "Rada Vranješević" Home for Children without Parental Care in Banja Luka.
The donation includes children's literature, academic books, fiction, as well as drawing and creative supplies. The initiative was carried out in cooperation with the Student Parliament of the University of Banja Luka.
The aim of this initiative was to provide children and young people at the Home with access to quality literature, to encourage their intellectual and creative development, and to offer them resources for play and educational activities. In addition, this initiative serves as an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of education and cultural development for children and young people from vulnerable social groups.
This donation also serves as an incentive for broader societal engagement in similar humanitarian efforts, highlighting the significance of solidarity and support for the youngest and most vulnerable members of the community, with the goal of creating better conditions for their upbringing and development.
It is worth noting that the University of Banja Luka has previously organised charity initiatives to support various institutions and associations, including the "Iskra" Parents’ House, which provides support to children afflicted with malignant diseases and their families.
