Ambassador of Italy Visits the Faculty of Philology

On 24 February 2026, the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sara Eti Castellani, visited the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka, where she met with students and academic staff from the Romance Studies programme, as well as with the dean of the Faculty of Philology, prof. Biljana Babić, PhD.

The Faculty of Philology reports that during the visit the ambassador announced a series of cultural events planned for 2026 as part of the promotion of Italian culture, in which both students and academic staff of the faculty will take an active role.

The meeting was held in a relaxed atmosphere and included an exchange of experiences and ideas on the further development of Romance Studies and the promotion of Italian culture within the local community.

The ambassador was accompanied on the visit by the Second Secretary of the Embassy and Head of the Cultural Affairs Department, Giuseppina Salcano.
