Representatives of the University of Akita from Japan visited the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL) on 25 March 2026, and met with the Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation, Prof. Kristina Pantelić Babić, PhD.

During the meeting in the Rectorate, they discussed extending the cooperation, which would contribute to quality education and the exchange of knowledge.

Guests from Akita University were the Dean of the Faculty for International Resources. Prof. Atsushi Shibayama, and Kanako Ono from the Office for International Cooperation at Akita University. Also present in the meeting were Prof. Ljiljana Tankosić, PhD, and Prof. Dražana Tošić, PhD, from the Faculty of Mining Engineering of the University of Banja Luka.
