Students’ days at the UNIBL in April
April is carrying a special energy and characteristic atmosphere, as it is traditionally reserved for the largest students’ event in the Republic of Srpska – Students’ Days at the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL).
This significant event that gathers thousands of students will be held from 14 to 24 April 2026, bringing a rich program that celebrates knowledge, creativity, sport, and togetherness.
During the ten days of the event, the Campus and many locations in the city become a place of encounter of young people, ideas, and talents. The program was designed to encompass different spheres of interest, so the visitors will have a chance to enjoy students’ sports games, which bring together each year a large number of participants and encourage team spirit and a healthy way of life.
Open Doors Day and the Faculty’s Festival
A prominent place in the program goes to the Open Doors Day at the University of Banja Luka and the Faculties’ Festival. During the Open Doors Day and the Faculties’ Festival on April 20, students will be able to learn about enrolment, study conditions, and student life, and talk directly with professors and peers.
The Students’ Days event will have several educational and cultural content – workshops, lectures, and panel discussions in various fields, hosted by eminent lecturers and experts. There will also be organized open space movie projections, which will additionally enrich the evening program and contribute to informal socializing.
The organizers also announced a number of creative and interactive activities – two quizzes, a painting exhibition, an eco-day dedicated to environmental protection, and a “book-hunt” to promote reading and exchange of knowledge. Particular emphasis was put on a humanitarian aspect, which includes several actions, such as voluntary blood donation, and other activities directed to helping the community.
The art lovers will have a chance to enjoy students’ theatrical shows, and embroidery workshops that keep and promote the traditional cultural heritage of this area. The diversity of the program enables every visitor to find an event of interest, be it in the field of science, art, sport, or social engagement.
The event is organized by the Students’ Parliament of the University of Banja Luka and the Students’ Union of the Republic of Srpska, with the support of the University of Banja Luka and the Ministry of Scientific Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska.
Students’ Days reaffirm their role as one of the most significant events of the academic life in the Republic of Srpska, creating space for bonding, exchange of experiences, and affirmation of students’ potentials.
