The University of Banja Luka successfully organized an Erasmus+ Staff Training Week entitled “BLENDin: Banja Luka Erasmus Networking Days” from April 20 to 24, 2026. With its rich program content and strong international character, the event once again confirmed the University’s firm commitment to internationalization and to enhancing the quality of higher education.
The program was officially opened at the Student Cultural Centre of the University of Banja Luka. Over the course of five days, participants from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Serbia, and Spain, as well as from the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, had the opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience, and good practices.
As part of the opening activities, the work and key projects of the University of Banja Luka were presented, along with the Across Alliance, in which the University of Banja Luka participates as a full partner. Participants also took part in a tour of the University campus and the city’s cultural and historical landmarks.
Special emphasis throughout the program was placed on expert lectures and interactive sessions addressing the application of artificial intelligence in education, the enhancement of inclusiveness in higher education, and challenges related to the employment of international students. During the Best Practices Forum, representatives of European university alliances presented their experiences and cooperation models.
An additional highlight of the program was the International Fair, during which participants presented their institutions, study programs, and academic mobility opportunities, opening new perspectives for cooperation with students and staff of the University of Banja Luka.
In addition, visits were organized to faculties, administrative services, and University offices in accordance with the professional interests of participants, further contributing to the strengthening of institutional cooperation.
The training week concluded with an evaluation of the implemented activities and a formal certificate award ceremony for participants, symbolically marking the successful completion of this important international event.
The organization of events of this kind contributes to strengthening international cooperation and the visibility of the University of Banja Luka, as well as to its further positioning as a relevant educational and research institution within the European Higher Education Area.
