The Steering Board of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL), on its 62nd session held on 29 April 2026 elected Josif Ilić for the Secretary General of the University.

Ilić graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Banja Luka, and he also passed the BAR exam. He has been employed at the University of Banja Luka since 2010, where he held position of a Senior Associate for Legal issues in the Rectorate, followed by the position of the Secretary at the Faculty of Political Sciences.

During his career, he was engaged in other significant positions, such as member to the Steering Board and the Board of Ethics of the University, as well as an Advisor to the Minister for Scientific Technological Development and Higher Education in the Government of the Republic of Srpska and Advisor to the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Srpska.
