Within the Erasmus+ program of academic exchange, the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Student Issues and Quality at the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD, visited the University of Sapienza in Rome from 20 to 24 April 2026.

During the visit, there was a particularly intensive cooperation with the Faculty of Chemistry, especially with the polymer research group led by Prof. Andrea Martinelli, PhD.

Professor Balaban held several lectures to Master students as part of academic activities during the visit. She presented contemporary trends and actual research in the field of polymer science. The lectures were an opportunity to exchange knowledge, to discuss modern research topics and establishing new professional contacts.

The visit to the University of Sapienza was an important step in strengthening the international academic cooperation, with a special focus on the development of joint research projects and future applications to the international funds.

Exchange of experiences and ideas with colleagues from this Italian university additionally contributes to the advancement of teaching and scientific research activity, as well as further interconnecting of the two institutions.
