The University of Banja Luka is a partner in the new European project “Policy Support for Research and Innovation in Enlargement Countries” (POLICY ENLARGE).

The project was officially launched on April 21, 2026, in Budapest, with a meeting of all partners. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Srđan Dušanić, PhD, Dean, and Dragan Dragomirović, PhD.

POLICY ENLARGE is funded through the European Union’s research and innovation program Horizon Europe, and over the next three years, it will focus on strengthening cooperation in the fields of innovation, research, education, culture, youth, and sport.

The project builds on and further develops the results achieved within the POLICY ANSWERS initiative, with the aim of strengthening stability and the European perspective of the Western Balkans and other enlargement countries.

The project coordinator is the Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development, based in Budapest, and its implementation involves 15 partner institutions.

Key activities include establishing a structured policy dialogue through ministerial-level meetings and thematic workshops, introducing new funding mechanisms for joint innovation, and strengthening capacities in the areas of research and innovation reforms, digitalization, and technology transfer.

The project will also support the green and digital transition, ensuring the inclusive participation of all stakeholders.
