Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources of the University of Banja Luka, and Prof. Aleksandar Ostojić, PhD, Vice-Rector for Research and Development, met with Prof. Nick Guldemond, PhD, on 29 May 2026 to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the field of innovative technologies in medicine and healthcare.

During the meeting held at the University Rectorate, the participants discussed advanced innovative technologies in medicine. The activities of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka and the Innovation Center for Technology Transfer in Biomedicine were also presented.

The interlocutors also considered possibilities for establishing cooperation with the University Medical Center in Leiden, in the Netherlands.

Prof. Nick Guldemond, PhD, is a senior researcher at the University Medical Center Leiden and has worked as a clinical researcher on numerous innovative healthcare projects throughout his career. Since 2017, he has served as Professor of Integrated Care and Technology at Sechenov University in Russia, and since 2021 as Professor of Public Health and Healthcare.

Dr. Guldemond also serves as an expert for the World Health Organization in its Digital Health Working Group and the Pan-European Commission on Health and Sustainable Development.
