Within the Erasmus+ DERHE project, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka hosted Prof. Ignace Martens, PhD and Geert De Lepeleer, Head of Internationalisation at the Faculty of Engineering Technology, KU Leuven, Belgium, from 27 to 30 April 2026.

During their visit, the guests attended part of the training within the “Advanced Lean Six Sigma Course”, which is being attended by employees of the company “Lanaco” d.o.o. Banja Luka, as well as the “Basics of Lean” course designed for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. These activities are implemented by Prof. Goran Janić, PhD and Prof. Zorana Tanasić, PhD together with assistant MSc Maja Vuković.

The representatives of KU Leuven shared their experiences in the field of Lean and Six Sigma management methods with the course participants, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and good practices.

As part of the visit, a meeting was also held with representatives of the Office of the Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation of the University of Banja Luka, Đorđe Kenjalo and Jelena Rožić, where further improvement of cooperation and implementation of project activities was discussed.
