Teachers, associates and students of the University of Banja Luka participated in a study visit to the Kingdom of Belgium from 25 to 29 May 2026, during which they had the opportunity to learn more about the work of the institutions of the European Union, as well as the academic and cultural heritage of the country.
During their stay in Brussels, the participants became acquainted with the role and significance of the key institutions of the European Union and gained first-hand insight into decision-making processes and the functioning of European institutions.
In addition to Brussels, they visited Leuven and Ghent, cities renowned for their rich university tradition, cultural and historical heritage, and their important role in the academic and social life of Belgium.
While in Leuven, the delegation of the University of Banja Luka also visited the Catholic University of Leuven, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the organisation and activities of this higher education institution.
The study visit was organised with the support of the Representation of the Republic of Srpska in the Kingdom of Belgium.
Through international activities and cooperation with institutions and organisations across Europe, the University of Banja Luka continues to create new opportunities for academic development, exchange of experiences and strengthening international cooperation.
