The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka has received a donation of several hundred medical books from the United States, which will contribute to enhancing the teaching process and improving access to contemporary professional literature for students and professors.

The donation is the result of ongoing cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine, Edufacts Global LLC Banja Luka, and the U.S.-based organization Global Medical Libraries, which supports medical education worldwide.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Ranko Škrbić, PhD, stated that the donated literature will significantly improve the quality of teaching and learning and provide access to modern medical resources and professional publications.

“These resources will be particularly valuable for students enrolled in study programs taught in English, while also benefiting our domestic students and teachers. Access to current and internationally recognized medical literature is essential for maintaining high standards in medical education,” said Prof. Škrbić.

He recalled that cooperation with “Edufacts Global” has been ongoing for several years and highlighted the important role of the company’s director, Dr. Tarun Handa, in developing international partnerships that bring benefits to the Faculty and its students.

The initiative was launched in 2022 with the aim of expanding educational opportunities and improving access to academic resources through cooperation with organizations from the United States.

The Faculty of Medicine expressed its gratitude to Valerie Walker of “Global Medical Libraries”, as well as to Todd Bullock of the Office of the Embassy of the United States of America in Banja Luka, for their significant support in facilitating this donation.

This donation represents a continuation of successful international cooperation aimed at strengthening the quality of medical education and scientific research at the University of Banja Luka.
