International Summer School Opens at the Faculty of Agriculture

The International Summer School was officially opened on 27 July 2026 at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Banja Luka. The programme is being held as part of the Erasmus+ project "Innovative Pedagogical Approach to Value Chain Research in Agriculture" (TEACH AVC) and will run until 7 August 2026.

The opening ceremony featured a welcome address by Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources of the University of Banja Luka, who welcomed the participants and wished them a successful Summer School. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the University's active participation in Erasmus+ projects.

The Summer School has brought together students, doctoral candidates, academic staff, and experts from partner institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Georgia.

Throughout the programme, participants will attend lectures and workshops, take part in laboratory and field activities, and visit companies and agricultural farms with the aim of acquiring new knowledge and practical skills in agricultural value chain management.

According to the organizers, the Summer School aims to enhance knowledge of agricultural value chain management, market analysis, and the development of innovative teaching methods, while also strengthening cooperation between the academic community and the agricultural sector.

The TEACH AVC project is implemented by the Institute of Higher Education for International Agricultural Development (ISTOM), France, as the project coordinator, in partnership with the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, the Poznań University of Life Sciences, the Agricultural University of Georgia, and the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Banja Luka.
