Students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Banja Luka Jelena Duvnjak, Teodora Kurušić, Sofija Vržina, Milica Selak, and Dijana Gaković – participated in the Summer University programme held at Ural Federal University in Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation.
The international academic programme took place from 6 to 19 July 2026 and brought together 430 students from 16 countries worldwide. Its primary objective was to introduce participants to study opportunities in the Russian Federation while fostering academic and cultural cooperation among young people. The project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the FSASI Sociocenter.
During the two-week programme, participants attended lectures, took part in workshops, academic discussions, and numerous cultural activities, exchanging knowledge and experiences with students from various academic disciplines and universities across the globe.
The participation of the University of Banja Luka Faculty of Law students represents an important contribution to strengthening the University's international cooperation and further enhancing academic ties with higher education institutions in the Russian Federation.
At the same time, the programme provided the students with an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and valuable experience, become familiar with different academic and cultural environments, and establish professional as well as personal connections with peers from different parts of the world.
Participation in international programmes of this kind contributes to the development of student mobility, the internationalisation of higher education, and the promotion of the University of Banja Luka and its students within the global academic community.
