The University of Banja Luka published the call for applications for the second enrolment period for the 2026/2027 academic year on 12 August.
A total of 923 places are available to prospective first-cycle students at the faculties and the Academy of Arts, providing a new opportunity for candidates who were not admitted during the first enrolment period or who have subsequently decided to pursue higher education at the largest public university in Republika Srpska.
Of the total number of available places, 455 are reserved for students whose studies will be financed from the budget of Republika Srpska, 206 for self-financing students, 221 for foreign citizens, and 41 for part-time students.
Applications to take the entrance examination may be submitted from 24 to 28 August 2026, while the entrance examinations will be held on 31 August. Following the publication of the results, enrolment of admitted candidates will take place from 7 to 11 September 2026, in accordance with the call for applications and the deadlines set by the University.
The call for applications for the second enrolment period covers study programmes where places remained available after the first enrolment period. Second- and Third-Cycle Studies
At the same time, the University has opened the call for applications for enrolment in second- and third-cycle studies for the 2026/2027 academic year. A total of 971 places are available for second-cycle studies, including 523 budget-funded places, 254 self-financing places, 98 places for foreign citizens, and 87 places for part-time students.
For third-cycle studies, a total of 167 places are available: 135 for self-financing students, 31 for foreign citizens, and one for a part-time student.
Applications for second- and third-cycle studies may be submitted from 22 June to 2 October 2026, while the ranking lists of admitted candidates will be published no later than 16 October. Enrolment of candidates who are granted the right to enrol will take place from 19 to 23 October 2026.
