Acting Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Ranko Škrbić, PhD, received the prestigious “Global FRED” award on September 4, 2026, as part of the Republic of Srpska Investment and Business Cooperation Forum for Chinese Companies, held in Banja Luka.

The award was presented to Prof. Škrbić by Liu Youtao, the Chief Representative of the “Global FRED” award for the China region, during the official program of the Forum, following a presentation of investment and project opportunities in the Republic of Srpska.

As part of the Forum, an Agreement on the Donation of Agricultural Machinery was also signed by the University of Banja Luka, the University of East Sarajevo, Jiangsu University, and Jiangsu World Agricultural Machinery LLC.

On behalf of the University of Banja Luka, the Agreement was signed by Acting Rector Prof. Ranko Škrbić, PhD.

The Forum brought together representatives of institutions, the business and academic communities of the Republic of Srpska, as well as Chinese companies and institutions. The event focused on strengthening economic cooperation, presenting the investment potential of the Republic of Srpska, and creating opportunities for new business partnerships and investments.
