METING OF VICE-RECTOR WITH RESPECTIVE VICE-DEANS FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
Science and developmentUniversity of Banja LukaGeneralProf. Goran Latinovic, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development of the University of Banja Luka, held a meeting with vice-deans for scientific research of the respective member units of the University on 13 June 2018.
One of the items on the agenda of the meeting held on the premises of the Rectorate was project application terms and criteria.
Ms Andjela Pepic, MA, Head of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the University of Banja Luka, informed the present of the challenges in the field, as well as on the recommendations regarding the process of project application.
In addition, the vice-deans were informed on the scholarships provided by PR China, which are available to the students of the University through Confucius Institute, by Ms Ljiljana Stevic, MA, Director of the Institute.
Another item on the agenda was the information on activities undertaken by the Ministry of Science and Technology concerning categorization of journals and books of proceedings, reflected in the fact that the Ministry appointed the Commission for Journal Categorization, whose job is to initiate the process following the public invitation for submitting the necessary data.
Furthermore, the present were introduced to the fact that members of the Task Force for Designing Draft Rulebook on the Procedure for Determining Non-Academic Conduct in Writing Scholarly Papers and Other Forms of Violation of Professional Ethics Code at the University of Banja Luka had been appointed.
Finally, the participants of the meeting agreed on the reasonable deadline for nominating new members on the Commission for Publishing Affairs of the University of Banja Luka, with the vice-deans being also informed on the extent to which the software aimed at detecting acts of plagiarism had been used so far in terms of the respective member units.
The meeting was also attended by Mr Dusan Vrucinic, MA, Senior Associate for Publishing Affairs, and Ms Dijana Bilanovic, Associate with the Office of Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development.
