Rectors of the University of Banja Luka and the University of Belgrade Met
University of Banja LukaGeneralRector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Rector of the University of Belgrade Prof. Vladan Đokić, PhD, had the first official meeting on 16 December 2021.
During the meeting at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, the signing of a new agreement on cooperation between the two universities was discussed, as the current one is to expire on 31 March next year.
They also discussed the improvement of cooperation, joint participation in international projects funded by European programmes, as well as the organization of summer and winter schools for students and professors of the University of Banja Luka and the University of Belgrade.
The rectors agreed that a joint session of the Rectors' Conference of the Republic of Srpska, the Rectors' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Conference of the Universities of Serbia (CONUS) should be held next year in Banja Luka. As agreed, during this session, which will be hosted by the University of Banja Luka, an agreement on cooperation will be signed in order to strengthen the existing one and establish new forms of cooperation.
They also talked about the organization of guest lectures by professors of our University at the University of Belgrade. Further to this, the participation of our professors in the commissions for the defence of final papers on the second and third cycle of studies at the University of Belgrade was discussed.
The first official meeting of Rector Gajanin and Rector Đokić was also attended by: Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation at the University of Banja Luka Prof. Biljana Antunović, PhD, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs Prof. Strain Posavljak, PhD, and Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources at the University of Bana Luka Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for Teaching at the University of Belgrade Prof. Dejan Filipović, PhD.
