Invitation to Register for the ’Open Science and Open Access’ Event

The invitation to register for the ’Open Science and Open Access’ event is open, and the event will be held on 22 September 2022 at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Banja Luka.

The event organized by the University of Banja Luka is organized in cooperation with partners within the Horizon 2020 project WBC-RRI.NET, and is dedicated to issues of open science and open access, with the aim of promoting and getting free access to scientific knowledge, data and results of scientific research.

The presenters, professors from the faculties at the University of Banja Luka and the region, will present regional and national initiatives for open science and open access, as well as the application of this concept in practice through the work of the Data Archive for Social Sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, the work of cOALition S (a group of research funding organisations, with the support of the European Commission and the European Research Council), which brings together institutions and organizations that finance research and strives to provide open access to research publications, will be presented. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in the discussion planned after the presentation, and to exchange experiences on open access with representatives of regional organisations.

According to the agenda, two sessions are planned as part of the event, namely a public event intended for all interested parties and a working group meeting intended for members of the project team.

The working language of the event, which is held in a hybrid model and through the Zoom platform, is English, and everyone who wants to participate should register via this link no later than 15 September.
