The International Conference DEMI Opened

The International Conference on Accomplishments in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering was opened on 1 June 2023 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka.

Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Issues of the University of Banja Luka Strain Posavljak stated that this conference has been recognizable for some time now and that this year the scientific community and students will have the opportunity to hear 78 papers.

"In this way, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering gets the opportunity to see the direction in which mechanical engineering is going and to innovate its study programmes in the forthcoming period.”, Vice-Rector Posavljak said.

Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka, Aleksandar Milašinović, said that he is honoured and pleased that DEMI is held in Banja Luka and at this faculty. Chairman of the Organizing and Scientific Committee of the conference Prof. Petar Gvero, PhD, said that this kind of meetings are necessary for the networking of experts and the exchange of experiences.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka is the organizer of this conference, while the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Niš, Serbia, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Podgorica, Montenegro, the Faculty of Engineering in Hunedoara, University Politechnica Timisoara, and the University of Reykjavik are the co-organizers. The DEMI conference is recognized by the scientific and professional public as a successful international conference that provides an opportunity for scientists, researchers and experts to present their accomplishes and exchange experiences with colleagues from around the world.

Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Aleksandar Ostojić, PhD, Assistant Minister for Scientific and Technological Development of the Republic of Srpska Prof. Zoran Vujković, PhD, Mayor of Banja Luka Draško Stanivuković, and the deans of the University's members attended the opening of the conference.
