The annual concert of the University of Banja Luka entitled “A Gift to the Republic” will be held on Monday, 15 June 2026, beginning at 9 p.m., in the open-air setting of the plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy within the University Campus.

The concert will mark the end of classes for the 2025/2026 academic year and World Music Day.

The concert will feature the Symphonic Orchestra of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka and the Symphonic Orchestra of the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska, under the baton of Prof. Branka Radošević Mitrović, MA, and Dušan V. Urošević, PhD in Arts, with special guests Lena Kovačević, jazz and pop singer, and Igor Paspalj, virtuoso electric guitarist. The audience will also enjoy a performance by opera diva Prof. M.Sc. Dunja Simić.

The concert “A Gift to the Republic” continues a tradition launched in 2024, when the University of Banja Luka organized its first annual open-air concert at the same venue. Last year’s concert attracted significant public interest and received exceptionally positive reactions, successfully laying the foundation for a new university music tradition.

The event will be broadcast live by Radio Television of the Republic of Srpska, allowing all interested citizens to follow this important cultural program. The general sponsor of the concert is the Office of the President of the Republic of Srpska, while Radio Television of the Republic of Srpska serves as the general media sponsor.

All students, professors, citizens, and music lovers are invited to attend this unique open-air concert.
