The event took place at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Banja Luka and gathered representatives of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina, project partners, and international experts in the field of quality assurance in higher education.
The workshop was opened with welcome addresses by representatives of the University of Banja Luka, the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the project coordinator, followed by presentations on the objectives and methodology of the training. A significant contribution was also made by a representative of NAKVIS, who presented Slovenian experiences in expert training, with particular emphasis on best practices in capacity building and expert selection.
The central part of the programme was dedicated to practical work, including a simulation of the preparation of an expert team and the process of a site visit to a higher education institution. Participants analysed selected excerpts from Self-Evaluation Reports (SER), took part in group work through assigned roles, and simulated interviews conducted during institutional visits.
Through group work and plenary discussions, participants exchanged experiences and identified key challenges in quality assurance processes, with particular emphasis on evidence collection, criteria assessment, and the preparation of oral reports. The final session focused on the importance of structured and objective reporting, providing guidelines for clear and evidence-based report writing.
The workshop concluded with a constructive discussion and reflection on key conclusions, once again reaffirming the importance of continuous expert training for strengthening the quality assurance system in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This event was organized in cooperation with the HERE team in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of synergistic activities aimed at enhancing capacities for quality assurance in higher education.
