The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Ranko Škrbić, PhD, is visiting Moscow, where he held a lecture about the latest results of research in the field of experimental cardiology and diabetology to students of medicine and PhD candidates at the “Sechenov” University.

During a meeting with Andrey Svistunov, Vice-Rector of Sechenov University, details were agreed regarding cooperation between the University of Banja Luka and Sechenov University in the field of student and academic staff exchange. The interlocutors also reached an agreement on preparations for the implementation of joint research projects funded by the Ministry of Science of the Russian Federation.

A visit to the “Gercen” Oncology Research Institute is also planned for today, where patients suffering from melanoma are treated using advanced therapeutic methods.

The Cooperation Agreement between the University of Banja Luka and “Sechenov” University was signed on May 5, 2026, at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka. The agreement was signed by Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, Rector of the University of Banja Luka, and Prof. Igor Vladimirovich Reshetov, PhD, Director of the Institute of Cluster Oncology and Head of the Department of Oncology, Radiotherapy and Reconstructive Surgery at Sechenov University.
