Portuguese Student on Erasmus+ mobility at UNIBL

General-

International cooperation and the mobility of students and academic staff represent a key aspect of advancing higher education. Over the years, the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Banja Luka has maintained successful collaboration with numerous European universities through the Erasmus+ student and staff exchange programme.

This year, for the first time, the Faculty of Forestry welcomed a student from Portugal. João Modesta, an agronomy student from the University of Beja, chose to spend a semester at the University of Banja Luka through the Erasmus+ mobility programme.

"I decided to study in Banja Luka to gain new experiences and meet new people. Since arriving, I have met many amazing individuals. Every interaction I’ve had at the faculty, whether with fellow students or professors, has been positive," said Modesta.

This example highlights the importance of international cooperation within the academic community, fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences while connecting students from different parts of Europe.

The Erasmus+ mobility programme enables students and staff to broaden their academic and cultural perspectives, acquiring experiences that will be beneficial for their future professional careers. At the same time, such programmes contribute to strengthening academic cooperation among universities and promoting the significance of the internationalisation of education.

The Faculty of Forestry at the University of Banja Luka will continue to support international cooperation, welcoming students and staff from around the world and providing them with opportunities for quality education and professional development.
