At the 26th session, held in March 2014, the Senate of the University of Banja Luka adopted the Bylaw for publishing activities of the University of Banja Luka, that regulates the general conditions and manner of publications within the publishing activities of the University, as well as the quality standards which must be met during the educational-professional, educational-scientific and educational-artistic work at the University of Banja Luka and its organizational units.
This Bylaw also establishes standards related to securing and checking the quality of publications issued by the University and its organizational units. The Publishing activity of the University includes publishing of all printed, audiovisual, digital and electronic publications: books, translations of valuable books, textbooks, monographs, collections of essays, reports from conferences, congresses and symposia organized by the University or were the University was a co-organizer, journals, reprints, catalogs, booklets, posters, leaflets, postcards, calendars, microfilm, video and sound recordings, as well as editions in electronic media: CD, virtual publications on the internet, works published on the web site.
Committee for the publishing business of the University is an expert body of the University, consisting of Vice-Rector for Science and Research of the University, Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs and 7 members, taking into account that each scientific field has one representative.
Members should be chosen among prominent scholars with experience in publishing, appointed by the Senate for a term of four years and proposed by the faculty, academy or institute. The Committee is chaired by the Vice-Rector for Science and Research of the University and the Committee makes decisions by majority votes of its members.
