International Educational Projects
The University of Banja Luka is participating in international educational projects. The largest number of international educational projects that are realized at our University are TEMPUS projects. The University of Banja Luka has been participating in eighty-nine TEMPUS projects since 1996, funded by the European Commission.
TEMPUS Trans-European mobility scheme for university studies has funded the projects between the EU’s higher education sector and its 27 Partner Countries to facilitate the modernisation of the university, mutual learning between regions and people as well as the understanding between cultures. The Partner Regions of TEMPUS were the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East. The first cycle of TEMPUS programmes began in 1990, after the fall of the Berlin wall.

TEMPUS programme is one of seven programmes of the European Commission, which is incorporated into the new Erasmus+ programme.
The Erasmus+ programme aims to support the activities in the field of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2012-2020.
Erasmus+ supports transnational partnerships between education and youth institutions and institutions and organizations engaged in training, which encourage the cooperation and bridge the gap between the fields of education and work, with the aim of resolving the perceived differences in terms of skills.
In addition, this programme supports national efforts to improve education, youth and training system.
Erasmus+ provides grants for a wide range of actions and activities in the field of education,training, youth and sport.
The programme provides opportunities for students, trainees, stuff and volunteers to spend a period abroad in order to increase their skills and employment opportunities.
