Learning objectives | ||||
The main objective is to introduce students with the system of social welfare and social protection, institutions and NGOs that are providing social work services. | ||||
Learning outcomes | ||||
Students will be introduced to different organizations, structure of employees and clients and the scope of work. Students will be able to identify the specific outcomes of social work activities, as well as to recognize the characteristics of social welfare system at local and state level, and in NOGs. | ||||

Students will be introduced to: System of social protection of Republika Srpska Social Welfare Centers (students' visit) Institution of social welfare/care (students' visit) Daycare center for children in risk (students' visit) Daycare center for persons with developmental needs (students' visit) Daycare center for elders (students' visit) Daycare center for persons with mental health challenges (students' visit) Analysis on students' visits and activities in social welfare system Social Work in Health Care System (students' visit) Social Work in System of Education (students' visit) Analysis on students' visits and activities of social workers in other systems. | ||||
Teaching Methods | ||||
Practice of Social Work 1 course is implemented through workshops in 4th semester. The coordinator assigned to this course organizes and takes students to visits (pre-arranged and agreed visits). Students prepare for these visits, reflect on them and have maximum 10 students' visits during the semester. | ||||
